hi everyone!
i have a suggestion about subscribing to topics- they do this on forums and comunities.. tell me what you think?
my idea is to have an option in the acount settings that allows you topick instant subscription from a list.. so that when you post to a topic, you instantly subscribe and get notifications as normal when someone replies
also, you could set it so that when you get a reply notification, it sends a copy of the message that was sent to the board
what do you all think?
Not a bad idea. I'm going to guess that if you have this setting turned off, you would still be able to subscribe normally? I just know that I most certainly wouldn't want to subscribe to every topic I post to, but I suppose some people might. and again, that's what the setting would be for. I guess this one would really be based on popularity, though. No point asking the admins to code this if only three or four people are actually going to make use of the change. What do others think?
I don't have an opinion one way or the other about this particular suggestion, but there is something I would like to see implemented in regards to subscribed topics. When you go to your profile, and click on the number that is your number of total board posts, I would like to see a feature added where you can also click on and view your subscribed topics.
of course, you'd always be allowed to subscribe to topics (weather it be normally through the link), or instantly through the feature
as far as listing your subscribed topics, it's a good idea.. though i'd say in the wrong place- it should be in your acount settings, i think.
i say that because well, that's what it is- your subscribed topics are yours, and yours only.. hense done through your acount
latest topics, topics with new posts, those threads are for everyone so it's okay to have them on the boards

I see what you're saying, but this wouldn't be available unless you were logged in. I was just trying to think of the way it would be most convenient to get to. So, you might click on the number in your profile. If anyone else did that, they wouldn't get a second option below that to see your subscribed topics. But, if you're logged in, you would see a second number that is your list of subscribed topics.
i agree that it should show up on our account settings as well.
i'd love this idea as i have to remember to subscribe to every topic i post to. and yes if i post to it i wanna subscribe to it. if i make it then i wanna have emails sent for the reply's.
i dont know that this will ever happen.
